Outdoor switchgear blocks of complete transformer substations CTSB for voltage up to 220 kV

The complete block transformer substation CTSB is designed for receiving, converting, distributing and transiting electrical energy of three-phase alternating current of industrial frequency 50 Hz for voltages of 10(6), 35, 110 and 220 kV.
Open switchgear blocks (OSB) are designed for receiving and distributing electrical energy of three-phase alternating current with a frequency of 50 Hz and a voltage of 10-220 kV. It is used for power supply to industrial and municipal consumers, agricultural areas and large construction sites, as well as on the side of 10-220 kV network substations and, under appropriate conditions, at power stations.
The OSB 10-220 kV may include a different number of units, both standard and specially designed for a specific facility.
Types of OSB 10-220 kV:
- The line block is designed to connect overhead lines feeding the substation.
- The switch block is designed for scheduled and emergency switching under load, organizing the functions of measurement, accounting and protection of various parts of the 10-220 kV outdoor switchgear. Depending on the design, the block can perform the function of an input, an outgoing line or a sectioning jumper. In addition to the vacuum circuit breaker, the unit can be equipped with current transformers, voltage transformers, disconnectors, and surge suppressors.
- The disconnector block is equipped with a three-pole disconnector with grounding knives and is designed for switching sections of electrical circuits without load, as well as for grounding disconnected sections using grounding knives. The disconnector can be controlled by either manual or motor drives (on request).
- The voltage transformer unit is used to organize measurement, metering and voltage protection circuits at the substation. It is designed as three voltage transformers with built-in fuses for installation on the line side, and for installation on the side of the extreme span of busbars, where the unit is additionally equipped with a disconnector and surge limiters. When using transformers without built-in fuses, the fuses are installed separately on the block.
- The current transformer block is designed for installation of 10-220 kV current transformers for the purpose of organizing measurement, metering and current protection circuits at the substation. It is used for circuit solutions when it is not possible to use core current transformers of the switch block in the above circuits.
-The auxiliary transformer unit is designed to organize power supply to the auxiliary circuits of the substation. The standard version is equipped with a disconnector, fuses and a power transformer up to 100 kVA.
- The block of support insulators is used as supports to support rigid or flexible busbar connections of outdoor switchgear 10-220 kV. At the customer's request, various types of insulators can be used in the block design.
-The surge suppressor unit is used to limit overvoltages resulting from lightning discharges and switching. The block cannot be used as a supporting structure; connection to the surge arrester can only be made in the form of a lowering from a flexible or rigid busbar. It can be equipped with a surge arrester trip recorder (to be specified when ordering).
- The block of support insulators and surge arresters combines the functions of the block of support insulators and the block of surge arresters.
- The cable coupling block is designed for connecting 10-220 kV cable lines to the substation.
- The block of cable joints with a disconnector is additionally equipped with a disconnector, a zero-sequence current transformer and an arrester.
Operating conditions for outdoor switchgear units:
- ambient air temperature not higher than 40°C (with an average daily design temperature not higher than 35°C) and not lower than minus 45°C. The maximum standard thickness of the ice wall at a height of 10 m and above the ground is 20 mm with a repeatability of 1 time in 10 years;
- standard wind speed 65 kgf/m2 (650 N) at a height of up to 15 m from the ground with a repeatability of 1 time in 10 years;
- altitude above sea level – no more than 1000 m; - atmosphere type II-III according to GOST 15150; - specific leakage path length is not less than 2.35 cm/kV, which corresponds to the 2nd degree of pollution. (production in accordance with other degrees of pollution, upon request);
- the environment is not explosive, does not contain conductive dust, aggressive gases and vapors and chemical deposits harmful to the insulation of current-carrying parts, which would worsen the parameters of outdoor switchgear units in unacceptable areas.
